MakeItMooV is a tool for developers who work with QuickTimeΓäó on both Macintosh and WindowsΓäó platforms. Use it to give .MOV files imported from a PC the correct movie icon.
MakeItMooV doesn't change any data in the imported movie file; it just changes the fileΓÇÖs type to 'MooV' and the creator to 'TVOD', which marks it as a Movie PlayerΓäó document. This means that:
ΓÇó the fileΓÇÖs icon becomes the standard QuickTime movie icon (i.e. a MoviePlayer document).
ΓÇó the file can be opened by all Macintosh QuickTime applications.
ΓÇó opening the file from the Finder will start MoviePlayer, which will open the file.
To use MakeItMooV, put it (or an alias of it) on the desktop. Drag individual or multiple files into it to change them. DonΓÇÖt drag in folders; it wonΓÇÖt change the files inside them.
MakeItMooV will only try to change imported movie files. To force MakeItMooV to change every kind of file (including locked files), hold down the option key when dragging in files.
